Is my dad normal or a idoit?

Ok i've been having this big cramps around my pelvic area and i've just eaten dinner (Couldn't eat alot due to pain). Soon as i finished because i though theses pains were my period i was about to go to the bathroom when my dad said "Where are you going?" so i said "To the bathroom... need to use the loo"... We have two bathrooms but the upstairs one has all my tampons and that. So he just got wound up outer no where (Like always) and chased me up stairs and grabbed the hoover and threatened to hit me with it. Im curled up on the floor crying and he walked away. This happens all the time but i don't understand why he flipped on me this time :(
