Tapeworms from Marine Species to Humans?

I work at an aquarium and our seahorses and pipefish have tapeworms. I don't know if it is just in my head, but i believe I am showing symptoms of having them myself. Am I being paranoid, or is it actually possible for tapeworms to p from the seahorses to me. I do spend a lot of time with my hands in the tanks and also use my mouth to start siphoning the tanks so there is a real chance of me ingesting some of the eggs. Can anybody shine any light on this?
