Am I the only one to find it weird that my Mil calls my baby her baby?

It could be a cultural thing. Being Chinese, I do not find it appropriate for my MIl to call my daughter something other than "granddaughter". My husband, ho is Caucasian, thinks nothing of it. What do you think? What can I do to signal I am not comfortable the next time she does that again?
