Flo tv. Am I wasting money?

hello I'm 11 and I got flo tv. Um well we get service but I probably havnt even touched my flo tv in about 8 or more months. I never really use it. And I Thought about calceling but my mom got it for me on Christmas and we rnt wealthy and I'm afraid if I ask to cancel the service it will hurt her feelings becuz she spent like 200 dollars for it..am I wasting electricity or something?
