Is French going to be hard to learn?

I'm Hispanic, so I already know English and Spanish very well, and I've also learned Japanese. Now I'm looking for a fourth language to learn, and since Spanish and French have the same vowels and kind of sound the same (I can kind of make out what is said in French already because I know Spanish) I was wondering if it is actually harder than I'd expect.
